We start with the task and review whether a model-based feature is appropriate. Then we agree on the inputs, data sources, output format and what should happen if the request fails or the output is unsuitable.

API credentials should remain on the server. Provider accounts, model availability, usage costs and data-handling requirements are confirmed during planning. A ChatGPT subscription and an OpenAI API integration are separate arrangements; this service does not assume that a subscription includes API usage.
